PicoLoader is an ODE-based modchip for the Nintendo GameCube and Panasonic Q to boot homebrew. It offers similar functionality to other mods such as PicoBoot.
This mod works by emulating a disk drive during boot, executing a homebrew app (usually Swiss), and afterwards re-enabling the disk drive. From Swiss you can then boot a game DVD, or access storage using an SDGecko, SD2SP2 or similar.
The installation works by inserting a flex PCB in the DVD drive connector, allowing an installation without soldering to the GameCube itself. However, it still requires soldering the Pico and diode to the flex PCB.
⚠️ Warning: We do not offer free replacements if the kit was damaged during installation.
